The origin of the Byzantine Chain is unknown. However, there are many different names for it, including “King’s Braid Chain”, suggesting it has many different backgrounds. This design does look like it could be resting on the shoulders of a king or emporer, doesnt it? It seems outwardly intriquate, but in reality, is a very simple link structure that creates that story but also means the chain is incredibly durable. We offer our tuned 4mm Byzantine chain in both 22 inches and 24 inches. This tuned Stainless Steel Piece also has a high polish finish for a shine factor, and is meant to be worn at all times. (No need to take off in water) Hypoallergenic, rust-free, no color changing, scratch resistant and (salt)water resistant.
